This College was notified by the State Government vide notification No. EDN-A-KHA (1)-1/2014 in January 2014 to promote and uplift the standard of Higher Education in the remote and rural pocket of district Solan

The Institution became functional in June 2014 and began imparting UG level education in seven subjects in the Arts (Humanities) stream.

Greetings from the Principal,  Govt. Degree College Diggal (Distt-Solan H.P.). Our College is an important educational Institution affiliated with  Himachal Pradesh  University,  Shimla. It has a picturesque location and a sound academic ambiance.  It has been playing an important role in the educational uplifting of the students of this rural pocket of Distt Solan. Here in this Institution, our mission is to nurture young students of this rural area, so that they may achieve success in this rapidly changing world by providing them quality education.
